Celebrating Flynn Lab Student Jasmine Max for Leadership and Service Awards

Jasmine Max

The FSU Department of Behavioral Sciences and Social Medicine proudly recognizes Jasmine Max, a student in Heather Flynn’s lab, for receiving two distinguished awards this year. Each award reflects her meaningful contributions to the university and the broader community.

Florida State University Women’s Student Union Heart of Service Award

Jasmine received the Heart of Service Award, which honors women who demonstrate outstanding civic engagement and a deep commitment to justice and community well-being. Beyond AMWA, Jasmine contributes to maternal mental health research in the Flynn Lab, has supported individuals experiencing pregnancy loss as an intern with the Lunar Doula Collective, works as a Radiology Tech Aide at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, and serves as a learning assistant for Dr. Kraft.

Undergraduate Chapter of the American Medical Women's Association at FSU's E-Board Member of the Year

Jasmine was also named Executive Board Member of the Year by the AMWA Undergraduate Chapter at FSU. This award honors her exceptional leadership, initiative, and lasting impact on the organization. Her efforts have strengthened the chapter’s mission and inspired her fellow board members throughout the academic year.

The department proudly celebrates Jasmine’s accomplishments and the example she sets through service, scholarship, and leadership.
